I was just reading about some of the latest age 55+ communities around the country and am very intrigued. Although I have several decades (um, okay maybe not several) to go, these places sound awesome! There is the Anthem Ranch in Broomfield, Colorado where residents take flying lessons, go cross-country skiing and take day-long hikes. The Trilogy Company in the California wine country appeals to younger baby boomers by offering yoga, walking trails, high-speed computer access, guest speakers, day spas, chic cafes, and wine bars-all at their doorsteps. Some of these communities don’t come cheap but they do offer those of a similar age a chance to get together and continue to enjoy their healthy life to its fullest.
If only I could sign up a decade or two in advance to lock in a great price???
